Comment: I regret I have ordered these pills, they are totally useless, I would even assume they are placebo. They do not take off hunger, they don't make you feel good, they don't give you energy, they don't do anything. You just drink it and pray they don't have any worms in them, because the packaging is a disgrace. Pills look like they were picked up from some in-house factory. I had to trash the whole pack and I would not recommend anyone to loose their money.

Comment: I decided to write a review regarding the review on August 1st, 2008.. based on a report dated April 5, 2006. In all fairness, I would want to read something a bit more current before making a decision on whether or not to take this product. Personally, I have taken this product for a week now, and was considering increasing the dose. I have not had any side effects, and I read that sometimes it takes a few days before the positive effects of the product are felt. I will be back to comment in a few weeks.
As an RN, I always suggest that persons taking any medication consult with their Pharmacist prior to taking any over the counter or herbal products anyway. Reasons: #1 - They can spot a problem with interactions more accurately, since this is their specialty. #2 - They ususlly are not as rushed as a physician, and if they are busy, they can suggest a time that will be good for them. #3 They usually do not charge a fee.
I researched this product rather extensively prior to purchasing by going to various forums, as well. There were many positive comments about weight loss with this product. Some people did say that they had heart palpatations and increase in heart rate at first. (I read there had been a problem earlier with the product, that it had been black-marketed, but if you google the product, you will find a site that helps you identify if it is authentic or not.. I am hoping the seller is checking, as well, prior to sending the product out.) I am not sure what batch the people with heart rate changes were taking, so.. I still would consult a pharmacist prior to taking.

Summary: Warning about LiDa Daidaihua Slimming Capsules
Comment: I had been taking these pills for a couple of weeks and sometimes I felt an elevated heart rate. I thought the pills had a lot of caffeine which many diet products have, and since I don't use much caffeine I thought that was the problem and I could get used to it. I could not. I decided to look up the side effects of this pill and found a link to the Health Canada website warning people not to take these pills. OTTAWA - Health Canada is advising consumers not to use two herbal weight loss products from China because they have been found to contain sibutramine, a prescription medication that should only be taken under medical supervision.
Super Fat Burning and LiDa Daidaihua Slimming Capsules are not authorized for sale in Canada. The two products have so far not been found on the Canadian market, but they may have been brought into the country for personal use by travellers or been purchased by Canadians over the Internet.
Sibutramine is a prescription medication that suppresses the appetite. If used improperly, sibutramine can have serious health consequences, including increased heart rate and blood pressure as well as increased pressure to the eyes causing pain and hemorrhaging. Individuals with heart or circulatory problems should not take sibutramine. It should also not be taken with medications such as antidepressants that can affect the level of hormone serotonin in the brain.
Consumers who are currently using Super Fat Burning or LiDa Daidaihua Slimming Capsules should stop taking the product immediately and should contact their health care professional for advice.

Comment: I love this stuff! It gives me lots of engery and I almost never feel hungry or the urge to binge eat. I have lost about 10 pounds and feel great. It does bother me sleep, but it is worth it. It is the ONLY diet pill that I have ever tried that doesn't upset my stomach or cause reflux or heartburn.
